Jim Skuldt received an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts in 2005. He arranged for passage aboard a trans-Atlantic containership to attend the Triangle France Residency in Marseille (and subsequently, AIR Antwerpen Residency in the Port of Antwerp, Belgium), as he aims to fuse a standard shipping container with the interior of the Hotel Corbusier in order to ship himself internationally in great comfort and style. Skuldt temporarily stockpiles the 48-foot-diameter circular rotating touring stage formerly belonging to Neil Diamond within a 3000-square-foot meat-packing plant in East Los Angeles which he has gutted of its "Gefriermaschinefunktionsteile" (nuts) while maintaining a blog dedicated to the cataloguing and tracking of each piece of trash droped by his four neighbors.
