In part, the project is borne of a fusion of popular models proposed by architect Le Corbusier (father of modernist architecture) and industrialist Malcolm McLean (father of "containerization"), both models dealing with discrete elemental units.

Carried to the extreme, this versatile architecture proposes the possibility for reconstitution of entire cruiseship enviornments. It is noteworthy that the container lodging unit is somewhat inspired by the image depicting a deluxe room found in a brochure offering luxurious cruise vacations, bearing a striking resemblance in the dimension and layout of the container pod.

Beyond the melding of utopic-modernist and market-driven luxury and bulk carrier prototypes, the design incorporates the action-adventure needs of highly deployable tactical shelters.
