ARTFORUM, Summer Issue 2019
Bound Issue, paper, approx 3300 pages
10.5 x 10.5 x 10.5 inches
2009

Artforum, a square-format magazine (10.5 x 10.5 inches) specializing in contemporary art, has (since its inception in 1962, despite market fluctuations) exhibited a fantastic, seemingly exponential, growth in thickness over the long term due to advertisment and other content accrual.

I measured the thickness each issue of Artforum (1962-2009) and graphed the results to determine when the magazine would [become so thick that it would] form a perfect cube (10.5 x 10.5 x 10.5 inches).

Simple (yet careful) mathematical analysis shows that this occurs in the Summer of 2019.
